allergic to success
I went to see Touching the Void last night at the Little Theatre in Bath. It was an amazing film and it made me feel tense and sick and the climbing shots were beautiful. It has made me wonder more about why people choose to partake in such risky activity, well I know why they do it, it just made me think how I am not the sort of person who would do it. I have also read some really disturbing accounts of frostbite over the last couple of days and there is no way I would want that to happen to my nose or my toes.
At exactly the point in the film when they reached the summit (it’s quite near the beginning so I am not giving away a crucial plot line) Hannah who was part of our party started sneezing and didn’t stop. She sneezed about nine times. Then someone in the next row started sneezing too. I thought it was going to spread and we wouldn’t be able to hear the film, but all went quiet apart from me and Kate laughing.
