I’m really pleased - well it’s a step in the right direction. Why limit it to 2 bikes though what if 3 people want to cycle to work and the 2 spaces are taken?
what if 3 people want to take their bikes on an off peak train when: the train is completely empty of passengers and it has the physical capacity for 12 bikes without blocking any passenger access?
tough.
2 bikes on rush hour trains is infinitely better than 0 bikes, but there is still quite a lot of their policy which needs modification.
when i used to take my bike to cardiff to cycle the valleys, i used to try and get the first great western train because it had a guards van with plenty room for bikes, or even ironing boards.

Don’t they have ironing boards in Cardiff?
