Happy hour
Did I ever tell you about my happy hour?
It happens between 5-7 on a Saturday. I’m having it right now.
It varies slightly as I never know where it is going to be but I just realised the unifying unit is the clapping on the programme on R4 on Loose ends. Not the programme because on the whole I don’t really listen to it but the clapping makes me feel really grounded.
Today - pre happy hour I have been in a restaurant in Bristol with my friend Jo and her friends on her hen afternoon and perhaps the champagne has helped my happy hour mood. But I came home and just put my coffee machine on to make espresso and the I switched on my digital radio - which by the way I love - and immediately the clapping on loose ends came on.
My coffee smells like it’s burning.
On the way to the restaurant I went to get the boat and I quite literally missed the boat so I had to walk and a thunder storm happened so due to inapropriate shoes and rain I had to shelter. I watched the lightening and wished it would strike the five cranes I was looking at even though I didn’t have my camera.
Why is my coffee burning?
I also feel like I work on the Southville marketing board as someone I was talking to this afternoon is thinking of buying a house in Southville and I couldn’t praise it enough. She is coming over tomorrow and I may meet her and tell her again why everyone must live here.
I really must attend to the coffee situation.

it helps if you put water in the coffee pot.

Do you drink champagne every saturday?

Yeah I have lately. Perhaps that’s why my happy hour has been so happy lately.

Yeah they are! I hope it doesn’t apply to mine.
