today i saw a contractor (i presume some sort of builder) adding to his lunchtime coffee from a miniature baileys.

i overheard this in max’s sandwich shop. a barrister was defending a client, who was evidently well pissed (note; it was this morning). as he entered the court, he completely fell over some chairs with a loud clatter. at length, he arrived in the dock, and
the judge asked him to explain himself. he pleaded guilty to whatever it was he was being charged with, and the judge explained he wasn’t giving him a custodial sentence, but would instead refer him to
alcoholics anonymous or some such.
‘have you anything else to add?’ exclaimed the judge (a
female). ‘yes - i fucking love you, you stupid bitch’, slurred the accused, and then he stood up, to reveal he had got his lad out.
