megalongbus

June 21st, 2004

wow.. as of 28 june you can travel on a megabus direct from glasgow to london for £1.

and they have interconnecting services from as far north as perth, and from as far south as brighton. so, effectively you could travel from brighton to perth for £3. that’s just crazy.

AND their services between glasgow and london are not ‘no frills’, they are ‘with frills’. they are going to have reclining seats, luggage space AND toilets. and they’re bendy buses.

btw perth to brighton is 529 miles. that has to be a record for £3.

that’s simply incredible! so, if megabus were to run a service from london to sydney (10562 miles), and charge £3 per 529 miles, then you could expect to pay around £60.00! it takes 10 hours to go from perth to london, according to the megabus site. even that sounds a bit quick to me.
