let me take my bicycle on the train

October 19th, 2004

It was with great pleasure that last week I announced the launch of the new web site for the North Somerset Cycle Campaign, hosted here at 4angle.

Today I’m going to mention the Wessex Trains cycle ban campaign. For those who don’t know, in May this year Wessex Trains altered their cycle policy, banning cycles from many of their services for 4 hours per day and unnecessarily restricting them at other times. We’re trying to get the ban reversed.

I made a form which makes use of the tpc.int e-mail -> fax gateway. When you submit the form, it sends a preset fax to the Wessex Trains office in Bristol, signed by yourself, to protest against the cycle restrictions. Anybody who lives anywhere near a Wessex Trains station, that’s the whole of the South West of England, please show your support by filling in the form, it can only take 20 seconds.
