lomo RIP
April 21st, 2005
i am sad to say that as of now the lomo lc-a is no longer in production.
what does this mean for lomo’s? i guess a rise in price, as you won’t be able to buy a new one soon.
these are dark days.

A shame but they’re already expensive from the “official” source. That, and you need to buy a new one every 6 months when they fall apart. Good fun though.

this is true. i’ve only ever bought old ones, my most recent only lasted 2 rolls of film.
i guess my concern is that with no official source, the price of the 2nd hand ones will shoot up. time to take a trip to ukraine and pick up some there :)

Bugger. It’s one of those things I was always going to get round to buying.
So where can I buy one? :)

There’s plenty of them around on Ebay.. minus all the Lomography packaging / book etc but the same camera. Having said that, I quite like the small Lomography book that comes with the LSI package. Olympus XA cameras are a good alternative. Or get a cheap SLR and screw 10 filters on to the lens to get that vignetting effect and a few weird looks from passers by!
