just (not) the ticket

June 25th, 2005

I returned to Brighton this week, for my last proper visit. Having left Bristol I realised I’d forgotten my return train ticket, so had to buy a new one.

This aside, Brighton was fun. The weather was ridiculously hot, and while sitting on my fire-escape balcony for the last time, I felt like I was on holiday.

There was no need for me to attend Glastonbury, because there were enough bbqs, bonfires and soundsystems on the beach (and apparently better weather) to make me feel I was there.

Best of all was my discovery that Brighton is home to a brand new Wimpy.

wimpy!

I thought they only closed Wimpy restaurants these days, but apparently not. This one is quite bling.

I can see it now! I’m rather aware I’m having a conversation with myself – Tom, are you AWOL or just mysteriously silent . . ? :)
