2 inner tubes later

Today I was pumping up the tyres on my bicycle using a £3 mini pump from tchibo. This pump is not quite capable of obtaining anything like a high pressure without an extreme amount of effort.
I was therefore providing an extreme amount of effort, and in the process I managed to snap the metal inner tube valve in 2, deflating the tube. so i had to replace the tube with my spare.
So in under a month I have gone through 2 inner tubes, without actually having a puncture. The last one was stolen along with my seat pack in Stavanger in Norway.
The lesson here is not to buy pumps for £3 I think. I’m ordering a new one.
