I’m in Sandwich for the weekend with my family for a wedding, luckily one of the neighbours of the cottage we are staying in has broadband and a Netgear WiFi router so we can leech free connections.
Also lucky 3/4 of us brought laptops.

today the register told me about yak farmers in nepal with wifi.
i find this particularly exciting, not just from a geek perspective (ie rigging hardcore wifi in the middle of the himalayas), but also from a social development perspective. such minimal physical infrastructure could potentially bring so much communication.

while visiting cancom yesterday, i discovered that looseconnection have introduced a few more access points around the city.
this can only be a good thing. except i am currently experiencing wifi surplus, ie supply of wifi is greater than my demand for it, or rather the demand of the machine i don’t have.

Treo 600 SD GPS and other TLAs

According to infoSync World, Pretec will shortly release some SD devices including GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 1.3MP digital camera for Palm devices.
So, will they work with my Treo 600? And will they be out soon? Pretec don’t have any info on their site yet..
